Dr Whitehouse completed his general medical training at the University of Sydney and Royal North Shore Hospital. He then undertook ophthalmology training at Westmead Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital. After graduating as an ophthalmologist he completed further studies in cataract and glaucoma at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK.
Since 1994 Dr Whitehouse has been in private practice in Hornsby with a subspecialty interest in cataract surgery and also operates at Madison Day Surgery.
Dr Sven Whitehouse is a member of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and the Australian Medical Association.
Dr Whitehouse is on the Medical Advisory Committee for Madison Day Surgery.
