Madison Day Surgery (MDS) is proud to announce the successful completion of an Accreditation Survey, accredited against the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS) for Day Procedure Centres, developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC).
Auditors from the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) conducted a site survey on 28 March 2018 and were impressed with the standards of patient care and safety.
Madison Day Surgery is one of five hospitals managed by the Presmed Group, a leader of specialising in the management of Day Hospitals and Ophthalmic excellence in Australia.
Accreditation Surveyors confirmed there are strong, well-established quality and safety systems established by Presmed that have enhanced the services and care at Madison Day Surgery which has already reflected in the growth of patient numbers and surgeons using the facility.
Surveyors reported that within a short timeframe, Madison Day Surgery has already successfully achieved many goals and consistently provided, safe quality care and service. The management team and staff are effective in achieving daily operational objectives to date and are strongly encouraged to continue in providing professional, quality services to ophthalmologists, patients and the community in which it serves.
Madison Day Surgery acknowledges the valued input from the Consumer Engagement Committee. Accreditation Surveyors confirmed that apparent substantial progress has been made with the development of a very active Consumer Engagement Committee with representatives from other Presmed Ophthalmic Surgical Centres in NSW. The Consumer involvement is very good and continued Consumer engagement is anticipated.
Madison Day Surgery thanks the ACHS Surveyors for their input into the Hospital’s program of continuous quality improvement. The surgery looks forward to achieving continued accreditation against the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards for Day Procedure Centres.
